After more than 20 years working as a secretary, Maggie pursued her dream of baking- first as a baker for a coffee house in Connecticut for 11 years and then by opening Maggie’s European Bakery and Cafe in January 2008. “I love to look around our cafe and know my husband and I built such a reputable and successful place- a real dream come true” she says.
The Cafe is like having company in our home. We welcome everyone with open arms and provide the ultimate European experience. We are more than just eggs and bacon. We serve crepes, frittatas and quiche. Everything is homemade and prepared with passion and love.
The cafe is decorated with family heirlooms from Europe. From tablecloths to wall hangings, the cafe gives everyone a feeling of home. Maggie loves the feeling she gets when people speak from the heart as to how much they enjoyed their meal and the warm European atmosphere.
Maggie learned of her love of baking from her parents in Germany who baked every weekend for company. Andy, who is Polish, grew up in France with parents who also cooked and baked on a regular basis.
